Annual meeting of police experts in Austria

September 23 to 25, 2019, in Vienna, was held a conference on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Internal Affairs Bodies”, which was attended by experts from 57 Member States of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. The delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan was headed by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General of Police Umarzoda Ikrom Islom.

 

As part of this event, on the initiative of the Ministry of the Interior, a number of fruitful meetings were held with partners. In particular, meetings were held with representatives of Norway, Switzerland, Great Britain, the European Union and Russia with the aim of attracting donor funding for the implementation of the Police Reform Program (Development) in Tajikistan.

At the same time, in order to familiarize the progress of police reform in Tajikistan, a presentation of 9 projects was organized for ambassadors and representatives of 39 countries of the world by the Ministry of the Interior in the Hofburg building to attract funding. At this conference, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General of the Police Umarzoda I. touched topics regarding the purpose, directions and difficulties of police reform. National Coordinator for Police Reform Major General of the Police Shodmonzoda F. spoke about the achievements and prospects of police reform.

It should be noted that partners paid particular attention to the achievements and prospects of police reform and expressed their opinion on the attractiveness of the project.

Also, on September 24, a delegation of the Ministry of the Interior organized and held bilateral meetings with the ambassadors of France, the United States and the leadership of the OSCE Secretariat. September 25, the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan will meet with a number of ambassadors of European countries, including the Republic of Sweden.
