OSCE supports special seminars for the police officers in Rudaki and Hisor districts

October 11 and 18 special seminar course were organized and conducted for law enforcement officers in the rural jamoat Esanboy of the Rudaki district and the police station of the Hisor district.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, and the Deputy Head of the Department for Protection of Public Order Ministry of Internal Affairs. The training aimed to improve the skills of law enforcement officials, also to expanding their knowledge on the prevention of domestic violence.
The seminar included the following topics: “Criminal and administrative liability in matters of domestic violence”, “Procedures for registering families and perpetrators of domestic violence” and “Objectives and functions of the Ministry of the Interior to prevent domestic violence”.
This seminar was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a local expert on the prevention of domestic violence. In conclusion, police officers drawn up a number of proposals for the further consideration of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe concerning the future cooperation on organizing such events in all regions of the country. According to participants, these seminars improving skills and expanding knowledge among law enforcement staff members
This training was supported by the OSCE Office in Dushanbe. At the end of the training, was held a meeting with members of the local Public Council, district leaders and representatives of the communities of the Rudaki and Hisor districts. During the meeting to participants were introduced the annual report on the activities of the new Police Station of the Esanboy Jamoat of the Rudaki district, which was opened with the support of the OSCE in November 2018.
