Public Assistance in Police Reform

09/12/2018, in J. Rasulov district of Sughd region, on the initiative of the Ministry of the Interior and with the support of the OSCE Office for Programs in Dushanbe, a seminar was held on the topic “Improving the interaction of the police with the public on citizen participation in the process of police reform”.

This seminar was attended by Deputy G. Rasulovsky District, National Coordinator for Police Reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of the Police Shodmonzoda F.A., This seminar was attended by Deputy G. Rasulovsky District, National Coordinator for Police Reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of the Police Shodmonzoda F.A., Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of J.Rasulovsky District, Police Colonel A. Bobonazarzoda, Personnel, Representatives of Societies and Other Official Officials faces. At the beginning of the seminar, a speech was made by the National Coordinator for Police Reform, Major General of the Police Shodmonzoda F.A., and noted that the main goal of police reform is to further develop effective cooperation between police officers and civil society.

Then a speech was made by the deputy head of the department of the police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel M. Shukurov, spoke about the cooperation of the police with civil society in ensuring public order, with the participation of voluntary combatants, police officers and public councils. At the end, the participants exchanged views, and they addressed specific issues.
It should be noted that such seminars were held in the cities of Istaravshan and Isfara.
