Study visit of the Tajik delegation to the Republic of Moldova

From 17 to 20 December 2014 the OSCE Office in Tajikistan has organized a business tour of the delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova for the exchange of experience. The trip was devoted to familiarization with the police reform results in Moldova, Community Policing issues, combating domestic violence and human trafficking, as well as familiarization with electronic system for accounting the population data.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented by the following persons: Head of the Working Group - First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the RT Major General Umarzoda Ikrom, Head of Forensic Department of the MIA Major General Muhammadiev Muhammadi, National Police Reform Coordinator of the MIA Colonel Bobonazarzoda Ali, Head of International Cooperation Department of the MIA Colonel Solieva Zumrad, Deputy Head of the Department for Public Order Protection of the MIA Colonel Yatimov Hotam, Deputy Head of the Passport and Registration Service Lieutenant Colonel Nurali Safarov, Head of Organizational and Analytical, Personnel Unit of the Department for Personnel and Work with the Staff of the MIA Lieutenant Colonel Kurbanov Rustam and Assistant to the MIA National Police Reform Coordinator Senior Lieutenant Bobojonov Khushbakht.
The OSCE Office in Tajikistan was represented by the National Liaison Officer for Police Reform Mahmadiev Khaydar and by the National Police Reform Project Officer Odinaev Firdavs.
During the meeting the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Major General Ikrom Umarzoda welcomed the Secretary of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking under the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Chief Counsel of the Department for Policy, Strategic Planning and Foreign Aid of the State Office (Chancellery) Ms. Ekaterina Berezhan. He expressed his gratitude for arranging the meeting and cordial welcome at the Government House of Moldova.
Tajik delegation had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child of the municipality of Chisinau.
During the study tour, the management of the MIA RT has visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, where met with the management of the MIA and its subdivisions. During the meetings, the Tajik delegation has familiarized with the police reform progress in the Republic of Moldova, where the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova made a presentation on the police reform developments, resources for reform, police reform order, changes and methods of its management, appointments and tasks of the police in modern society, organization standards and police activities, the police organizational structure, as well as police human resources management.
Further a meeting was organized for the guests with the management of the MIA Main Directorate for Policy Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation and its subdivisions, as well as with the management of the Police General Inspectorate of the MIA and its subdivisions, with the management of the Center for Combating Human Trafficking of the Police General Inspectorate of the MIA and its subdivisions.
