Sport events

As a tradition, the OSCE Office in Tajikistan (OiT) together with the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan within the last five years have been implementing the Drug Prevention Campaign in the framework of the project "Implementation of precautionary and preventive anti-drug and sport events in towns and districts of GBAO (Mountainous Badakhshan Autonomous Region), Soghd and Khatlon regions, as well as Districts under Republican Subordination (DRS)."

In doing so, they fund sports, cultural and public campaigns under the slogan "Tajikistan against drugs." We will remind you that in March of current year sport festival was organized.

This year from 30 October to 1 November 2014 the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT) at the financial support of the OSCE OiT organizes sport events, dedicated to 20th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution of RT, celebration of “Day of Tajik police” and promotion of healthy lifestyle through sport. These competitions are held under the motto “Sport against drugs.”

There are open competitions in weightlifting between the various MIA subdivisions’ representatives in the sports complex “Spitamen” on 30 October.

There will be sport events on kickboxing organized amongst children of 1999-2000 and 2001-2002 birth on 31 October and 1 November 2014.
