International Symposium of Police Forensic Laboratories in Turkey

From 10 to 14 October 2012 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan took part in the International Symposium of Police Forensic Subdivisions and Laboratories inAnkaracity,Turkey.
Symposium was organized by Turkish National Police (TNP) with the support of the Government of Turkey.
The objective of this Symposium was exchange of experience, opinions, knowledge between the experts in the field of Forensic Laboratories and staff of the Forensic Departments from more than 50 countries of the world. A total number of participants were more than 100. The slogan of the Symposium was “Forensic for Justice and Justice for everyone”. During the Symposium participants visited Forensic Lab inAnkara, which is equipped by new technologies and equipment.
Questionnaires were handed out to participants for taking a decision on membership in the International Association for Forensic Institutions.
International Association for Forensic Institutions (IAFI) is the worldwide network of forensic science institutes. The IAFI is directed to consolidation of functioning experts in the scope of forensic science, including respect for human rights and the rule of law through the integration of modern scientific methods in criminal evidence based investigative practices to the remotes corners of the world. This aim should be implemented with the cooperation and coordination among the member institutions.
